People to Jobs, Jobs to People – Global Mobility and Labor Migration

Who’s behind it? – Randstad and the IZA Institute for the Study of Labor in Bonn (2017)

How can it help? – Commissioned by Randstad, the IZA Institute for the Study of Labor in Bonn has studied the determinants of worker migration, highligting expected changes in labor supply of targeted migration flows and offering a comprehensive discussion of firms’ (re)location choices to investigate the potential of job flows in response to skill shortages.

The research shows that labor migration is important in resolving future labor shortages through which a contribution is made to economic growth and employment.

The report comprises three studies:
1. What moves talent?
2. Projecting developments in labor supply and demand
3. Jobs to People? – Assessing firm location choice behavior in the light of skill shortages
